Pressing "reload" while sitting in a minicopter will enable minicopter weapons. These weapons require ammunition in your inventory in order to be fired. Minicopters have the following weapons which each require a specific ammo type. Weapons each have a unique reload or "cooldown" time when fired rapidly.Β

  • A10: Requires standard pistol bullets. A good all-around weapon. Long range.
  • Flak Cannon: Requires 5.56 Rifle Ammo. Good for ground targets, especially behind cover. Does splash damage. Limited range.
  • Machine Gun: Requires Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo. High damage and good for both ground and air targets. Long range.
  • Heat Seeking Rocket "HSR": Requires homing missiles. Hold right click when aiming at another minicopter and wait until the UI turns red. Usually a 1-shot kill. Can be countered by using flares.
  • High Velocity Rockets: Requires High Velocity Rockets. (duh)Β Essentially the same as firing a High Velocity Rocket from your launcher while on the ground. High damage, good against ground targets.
  • Flares: Does not require any sort of ammo. Used mostly to counter Heat Seeking Rockets. Press "E" to drop a flare when you are locked on to.
  • /ctop | Display the top 10 clans
  • /ctop 1,2,3,4,5 | Display additional pages
  • /ctop hand | Display the value of whatever item stack you are currently holding

Ctop tracks each clans value and displays them in pages of 10, sorted by value. Ctop does not calculate individual player wallets/balances, it merely values items in a clans base(s) in order to rank each clan.
Specific values are listed

The #1 ranked clan has all bases of value displayed on the map for everyone.
This only displays bases of actual Ctop value. External TCs, Dud bases, or empty bases are not displayed on this map.

Battlecopters is intended as a fast-paced PVP server with easy access to weapons and kits, and promotes large bases which are built to be onlined. In order to push players towards actual fights or battles, we have implemented a form of offline raid protection that punishes players that attempt to offline their enemies. The system still allows players to attack or offline a base, but at an increased cost in explosives.

After a clans final member has logged off, a semi-random grace period will pass at the end of which the clan's base(s) will receive a damage reduction to both tiles and traps.
This allows a small window for raiders to offline a base, if timed well, and also prevents players from simply logging off mid-raid to trigger their raid protection.
The time to trigger offline raid protection is randomized, but will always be between X and Y minutes after the clan is logged off.

Tiles (walls, roofs, etc) take 50% less damage
after the clan is deemed offline.
Traps (Turrets, SAMs, etc) take 75% less damage
after the clan is deemed offline

Active raids or areas where large amounts of explosives have recently been used are displayed on the map for a short time.

You can easily identify an active raid by looking for a cluster of debris fields scattered in a circular pattern on your map.

Battlecopters utilizes a wipe to wipe balance system that allows players to purchase resources, deployables, weapons, armor, unlockable kits, and more. This balance is not intended to wipe and can be saved throughout one wipe in order to purchase materials for a base in a future wipe or unlock kits which can be used repeatedly after small cooldowns. Money can be earned by selling essentially any raw resource or farmable item. There are four main methods of obtaining money on Battlecopters.

  1. Farming crops such as Cloth, Wheat, Eggs, Honey, Fertilizer, Fish, or baked goods.
  2. Scavenging for raw materials such as Scrap, Metal Frag, HQM, components, or items to recycle.
  3. PVE or PVP. Cash is rewarded every time a player kills an NPC or another player. Blood packs earned by getting PVP kills can be traded for scrap at spawn vendings. VIP Ranks earn more money from kills.
  4. Selling items in vending machines to other players in exchange for scrap.

Many of Battlecopters farming tiles are modified to allow full industrial automation with Rusts native industrial system. This includes farm tiles, horse hitches, composters, and Recyclers (VIP Only)

Useful commands:

  • /transfer playername | Transfers cash from your balance to another players balance
  • /balance playername | Checks the balance of another player

Battlecopters uses custom plugins to allow players to do many farming tasks automatically. Custom farming items have Rusts industrial input/output connections, storages for clones and fertilizer, and boxes for horse feed. These can be connected to a full automation system to make the most out of your loot and the tiles within your base. Why spend time manually farming when you could be off raiding or pvping?!

  1. Industrial Horse Dung: Players can place 16 automated horse hitches and 4 composters by default. VIP ranks get access to more. Check the store page for details.
  2. Industrial Farming: Players can place 8 automated farm tiles by default. VIP ranks get access to more. Check the store page for details.
  3. Industrial Recyclers: Will automatically toggle on and off as items are fed into or pulled out of it. These can only be placed byΒ VIP ranks, though anyone can purchase a recycler for 2.5mil in game money with /shop under the "misc" tab.
